KUWAIT CITY, May 22: Police arrested a Kuwaiti youth and his compatriot girlfriend for consuming alcohol and behaving indecently while swimming opposite Al-Sha’ab Al-Bahari, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
Police rushed to the site after receiving information that a girl and her boyfriend were kissing while swimming together. The girl was reportedly wearing a bikini and police smelt alcohol in their breath.
 

2 maids commit suicide : A 30-year-old Indian housemaid committed suicide by hanging inside her sponsor’s house in Adan Saturday.
Securitymen and paramedics rushed to the house after receiving information about a housemaid found dead in her room.  Preliminary investigations revealed the female sponsor was surprised when she found the housemaid hanged herself from the ceiling. The sponsor told police the housemaid committed suicide while the whole family was sleeping. The maid’s remains were referred to Forensics and investigations are underway to determine the actual circumstances which prompted her to end her own life.
In another similar incident, a Nepalese housemaid took her own life by hanging in her sponsor’s house in Oyoun, Jahra Saturday.
Securitymen and paramedics rushed to the scene immediately after receiving a call from the female sponsor, who told police she noticed the strange behavior of the housemaid when she woke up early in the morning to do her duties.
At around 9:30 am, the sponsor checked on the housemaid but she was surprised to find her dead as she hanged herself with a rope from the ceiling.  She immediately reported the incident to police.
A case was registered at Taima Police Station and investigations are in progress to determine the actual circumstances leading to the suicide. The housemaid’s remains were referred to Forensics.

Man stabbed: A 30-year-old Egyptian sustained stab wounds in his right hand and head when four youths attacked him inside a café in Jahra Industrial Area.
After receiving information on the incident, the Operations Room at the Ministry of Interior immediately dispatched a team of securitymen and medical emergency personnel to the location where they found the victim lying in a pool of blood. The youths allegedly used a knife to stab the victim in the right hand and head. The Egyptian is now confined at Jahra Hospital.
The security operatives managed to arrest one of the youths and referred him to the concerned department for interrogation. Police are still searching for the three youths.

Father beaten: An Arabic teacher lodged a complaint against his 17-year-old son who allegedly beat him inside their apartment in Jahra in the early hours of Saturday due to a disagreement between them.
A case was registered and the son has been summoned for questioning to verify the complaint.
