Woman burnt in suicide bid Indian hangs self to death

KUWAIT CITY, May 20: An Indian expatriate, 34, committed suicide by hanging himself with a rope in his house in Old Khaitan Tuesday night.
Acting on information, securitymen and paramedics rushed to the scene and referred the man’s remains to forensics. Criminal Evidence Department officials were also called to check the scene and make sure that no foul play was involved.

Burnt in suicide bid: An Indian woman, 36, tried to commit suicide by immolating herself in Khaitan Wednesday night. Acting on information, securitymen and paramedics rushed to the scene and promptly referred her to Farwaniya Hospital. The woman suffered second and third degree burns all over the body. A case of attempted suicide was registered against her.

Bedoun hurt in fight: A Bedoun in his 20s suffered injuries in a brawl in Sulaibiya Wednesday. Sources say seven people were involved in the fight, but by the time securitymen arrived at the scene, the other six escaped in their cars. The Bedoun was referred to Farwaniya Hospital for treatment and securitymen are waiting for his condition to improve following which they will find out the cause of the fight and the identity of the other six men.

Asian held with liquor: Ahmadi securitymen have arrested an Asian in Mangaf with 60 bottles of liquor in his possession.
While patrolling the area, police noticed the erratic movement of a vehicle, so they signaled for the driver to pull over. When they approached the vehicle, they noticed the confused state of the suspect, prompting them to search his car thoroughly until they found 60 bottles of liquor. The driver was referred to the authorities for the necessary legal action.

Wanted man nabbed: Fahaheel securitymen have arrested a Kuwaiti who had earlier been sentenced to 11 years in jail for embezzling KD 21,000.
During an intensive security campaign in the area recently, police discovered the Kuwaiti is wanted by law when they checked his security records. He was referred to the authorities for prosecution.

37 vehicles seized: A total of 37 vehicles were impounded recently in different parts of the country as the owners violated traffic regulations and endangered the lives of other motorists, say a reliable source from the Ministry of Interior.
According to the source, the ministry will not relent in its efforts to strictly enforce the traffic regulations to ensure the safety of the public.  He also advised the motorists to fully abide by the law to protect not only their lives but also that of other people.

Teen burnt with water: A 16-year old Asian sustained second degree burns as hot water fell over his body inside their residence in Farwaniya.
Medical Emergency Men and Securitymen were dispatched to the location immediately the Operations Room received a report about the accident, and the injured teenager was referred to the Farwaniya Hospital to receive medical treatment.
