Kuwaiti girl kidnapped from her apartment in Salwa
KUWAIT CITY, May 19: A Kuwaiti girl was kidnapped from an apartment in Salwa, reports Al-Shahed daily.
A police source said the landlord of a building in Salwa called police and reported that he heard screams from the girl’s apartment at the second floor.
Police rushed to the apartment and found the door had been broke open, with stuff scattered all over, while the girl was nowhere to be found. Personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department lifted fingerprints from the scene for investigation.
19 tons chicken trashed: The Kuwait Municipality, in a recent campaign, has removed 1,661 billboards, reports Al-Seyassah daily.
The teams also destroyed 19 tons of chicken unsuitable for human consumption, during a surprise inspection at various shops and restaurants.
Cop hurt in car chase: Members of a police patrol team sustained various injuries in an accident, while they pursued an unidentified person who declined to stop at a checkpoint in Qurain area. The suspect managed to escape, while the officers were referred to the Adan Hospital for treatment. In the meantime, police have circulated the registration number of the suspect’s car at various checkpoints for his arrest, and the case has been registered.
Traffic camera knocked down: An unidentified youth was injured in a two-vehicle crash on the Arabian Gulf Street, says Al-Anba daily.
It is reported that one of the motorists crashed into a camera post and knocked it down.
