Woman held captive, raped for 7 days by duo
KUWAIT CITY, May 19: Securitymen from Hawalli arrested two persons who kidnapped a female expatriate and had sex with her against her will for seven days, reports Al-Rai daily.
Security sources were quoted as saying passers-by called the Operations Room and reported about a female threatening to jump from the fourth floor of a building. Securitymen, armed with a warrant issued by the Public Prosecution, forced entry to the apartment and seized the two suspects who were high on alcohol, and liberated the woman hostage.
Liquor traders nabbed: Fahaheel securitymen apprehended two Asians for trafficking in local alcohol, reports Al-Shahed daily.
The two Asians were arrested after police set a trap for them, and they were caught red-handed selling 20 bottles of liquor to police agents with marked police money.
The officers seized boxes containing hundreds of bottles filled with local gin from a wagon the two traffickers were using, and they admitted to buying booze from a an Asian manufacturer. The traffickers, with the contraband have been referred to the concerned authority.
In another development, Khaitan policemen arrested a Bangladeshi expatriate for trafficking in local liquor, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The suspect was driving along a street in Khaitan when he ignored request by a police patrol on routine duty to pill over, while he sped off. However police pursued him until he stopped and they recovered 15 boxes containing bottles filled with local gin, during a search they carried out inside the car.
