Nepalese maid kills herself Forged docus Bedouns booted out
KUWAIT CITY, May 19: The Ministry of Defense dismissed 20 Bedouns working as military officers, after the ministry discovered that they had amended their status with forged Arab passports.
A source said the ministry has listed the names of those who have been discharged, after it verified with the embassy and uncovered their passports were forged.
The source revealed that the state intelligence interrogated the officers for two weeks and finally concluded their passports were forged. However, the suspects stressed they bought the passports for specific amounts, and verified with receipts in that regard.
Liquor seized: Three Bedouns were apprehended by police in possession of 7 bottles of local liquor in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh area.
The officers were on routine patrol when they spotted the suspects inside an American model vehicle, and approached them for checking, and they found liquor inside the car. Meanwhile, the officers noticed one of the suspected was wanted by law, after they checked their details. They were referred to the concerned authority for further investigation.
Maid kills self: A 34-year old Nepali maid ended her life by hanging, inside her sponsor’s home in Umm Al-Haiman. Securitymen accompanied paramedics to the scene after the Operations Room received information in that regard. Paramedics pronounced the woman had already died after they examined the body, and so Criminal Evidences Men carried the corpse to the Forensics for autopsy.
Girl missing: A Kuwaiti woman in her 50s reported at the Rawda Police Station that her 19-year old daughter was missing.
The woman said the daughter went out after a minor disagreement with her, and she did not return. The woman is said to have made fruitless efforts to find the missing teenager through friends and families, while her mobile phone has been switched off. Police have collected the necessary data to facilitate the search.
Suicide bid: A 36-year old domestic worker who tried to commit suicide by taking an overdose of drugs inside her sponsor’s home in Rehab was carried to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Farwaniya Hospital by paramedics, after the sponsor of the woman called the Operations Room and reported the incident.
