1 hospitalized as 2 Egyptians fight
KUWAIT CITY, May 13: An Egyptian sustained head injuries and fractures in his hands when he engaged in a fistfight with a compatriot at a medical complex in Khaitan Wednesday.
Paramedics and police rushed to the location after receiving information about the fight. The medical team took the injured to Farwaniya Hospital, while the securitymen arrested the other Egyptian.
During interrogation, the other Egyptian told police he had a heated argument with the victim, which escalated into a fistfight. A case was registered against him.
Bedouns in brawl: Two Bedouns suffered from injuries in different parts of their bodies after engaging in a public brawl with three others in Taima Thursday.
Securitymen and paramedics rushed to the location right after the Operations Room at the Ministry of Interior received information about the incident. They took the injured to Jahra Hospital, while the others were referred to the nearest police station for interrogation and other legal action.
Teacher beats student: A Kuwaiti man in his 40s filed a report at Jahra Police Station saying a teacher physically attacked his daughter in an elementary school in Saad Al-Abdullah area Wednesday. The man said he noticed bruises on his daughter’s body and face when she returned from school and on enquiring, found that she was beaten by her teacher.
The teacher will be summoned for investigation.
Wife assaulted: A Kuwaiti woman in her 30s filed a case at Jahra Police Station accusing her husband of assaulting her on Thursday. She said while they were having an argument, the husband assaulted her and injured her ear.
Wanted men arrested: Jahra securitymen launched a security campaign in Abdali farms area and arrested 12 Arab and Asian expatriates who were wanted by law. Eight other Asians were also arrested for violating residence and traffic laws during the campaign. All the arrested men were referred to authorities.
Brother robs brother: A Kuwaiti, in his 30s, has filed a complaint at Jahra Police Station against an unknown person who allegedly stole KD 600 from his account.
After registering his complaint, police accompanied the Kuwaiti to the bank to watch the surveillance tapes and he was surprised when he discovered that his brother withdrew the money. He then cancelled his complaint and decided to settle the issue with his brother.
Woman injuries probed: An Ethiopian woman, in her 20s, got fractures in her hand and back when she fell from the second floor of a building in Farwaniya Wednesday.
Paramedics rushed to the location and referred the woman to Farwaniya Hospital. Police then opened an investigation to determine the circumstances leading to the incident.
