Fear Allah, the Almighty, and stop spreading false information
THE hilarious actions of some lawmakers need to be controlled. Sometimes they praise a certain person and vouch for his honesty, only to barrage him with questions later or submit an interpellation request against him.
This is the case with HH the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah as certain lawmakers have started discussing his Diwan’s expenditures - similar to what they did earlier on the expenses at the Diwan of the Prime Minister.
The Crown Prince and Prime Minister are dignitaries. They are regarded as symbols of the nation, so it is not proper to take such actions against them. Some MPs fabricated stories about the premier but he remained calm and demanded referral of the issue to the Public Prosecution to allow the judiciary to take legal steps in this regard.
It was later proven that the accusations hurled at the premier were baseless. They should then fear Allah, the Almighty, and stop spreading false information. This is really an embarrassing act but there seems to be no shame among these people anymore. Forgive us!
This reminds me of the statement of Adolf Hitler’s Propaganda Minister Joseph Goebbels, “If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it.”
