Furious wife chases husband, girlfriend with stick
KUWAIT CITY, May 10: A Kuwaiti woman could not control her anger when she caught her husband with his girlfriend at the restaurant of a well known hotel in Kuwait City and chased the lovers with a stick, reports Alam Al-Yawm daily.
The shocked and indignant wife reportedly fainted near the gate of the hotel and police is said to have rushed to her help.
The daily did not give more details.
Nurse nabbed: Police arrested a nurse for attempting to register herself as the mother of a newborn baby, reports Al-Rai daily.
The nurse and the mother of the baby reportedly came to an agreement that the nurse’s name will be mentioned in the birth certificate of the child. Investigations are going on to find the cause.
Sheep farm raided: Security-men arrested three Asians for breaking into a farm in Wafra, beating the guard and stealing 40 sheep, reports Al-Rai daily.
A police source said the owner of the farm found the guard tied up with a rope and realized that the sheep were missing.
Investigations conducted by securitymen led to the arrest of one of the thieves who was recognized by the guard in a legal lineup and he, in turn, led police to his other two accomplices and they were duly arrested.
Thieves hunted: Police are looking for burglars who broke into a Kuwaiti man’s house in Al-Naeem area in Jahra and escaped with cash worth KD 1,800, reports Al-Anba daily.
Personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department lifted fingerprints from the scene to help identify the culprits.
Not allowed!: A female Kuwaiti officer holding the rank of lieutenant was seen supporting Barcelona football team while wearing police uniform which is against the rules of armed forces, reports Al-Dar daily.
The woman’s photo was published in local newspapers.
Probe opened: The official spokesman of the Interior Ministry Brigadier Mohammad Al-Sabr said the ministry opened an investigation into a Kuwaiti woman’s claim that her ex-husband who works at the Operations Department is threatening to harm her, reports Al-Rai daily.
The woman had earlier appealed to the Interior Minister to protect her as her ex-husband has been repeatedly threatening her by claiming that he works in the State Security Department, although he works in the Operations Department of the Interior Ministry.
The woman, who visited Al-Rai office, said she was divorced five years ago but since she has the custodianship of their daughter, her ex-husband is issuing threats.
