‘Save me from him’ Nepalese, maid held
KUWAIT CITY, May 8: A Kuwaiti woman has appealed to the Interior Minister to protect her as her ex-husband is allegedly threatening to cause her harm, reports Al-Rai daily.
The woman, who visited Al-Rai office, said she was divorced five years ago but since she has the custodianship of their daughter, her ex-husband has been repeatedly threatening her by claiming that he works in State Security Department, although he works in the Operations Department of the Interior Ministry.
The woman said her ex-husband earlier filed a case against her brother-in-law accusing him of beating up their daughter, but the court proved his innocence. She further alleged that the ex-husband urged his friends to call her and offer to have sex with her and that she has telephone numbers of all of them.
Nepalese, maid held: A Kuwaiti man filed a case at Farwaniya Police Station saying a Nepalese man entered his house in Omariya early morning to give his Nepalese maid a picture and a watch.
The man was arrested and during interrogations, he said he just wanted to give the maid the stuff and that he did not do any immoral activity in the sponsor’s house. The Kuwaiti reportedly locked the man, called police and insisted on filing a case.
The Nepalese man has been referred to authorities.
Surprised: A man was found unconscious in his car in Salwa Saturday morning. Acting on information, securitymen and paramedics rushed to the scene and on examining, found that the man was heavily drunk. However, on hearing the sirens of police vehicles, the drunk woke up and escaped from the car, leaving behind his mobile phone and identification documents.
A case was registered and the car was impounded.
Sponsor blamed: Police are looking for a Kuwaiti man who allegedly raped a Filipino woman, reports Al-Anba daily.
The Filipina, identified as Janette, lodged a complaint against her sponsor accusing him of raping her before she ran away.
The complainant has been referred to Forensics.
6-man gang held: Farwaniya securitymen arrested a six-member gang, including their boss A Ghadban, for committing several armed robberies in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh area, reports Al-Anba daily.
The six robbers admitted to their crimes and to a crime of stealing an Asian man’s car for performing stunts. The gang robbed people by impersonating policemen.
Meanwhile, police are looking for three persons who attacked an Egyptian while he was walking along a street in Khaitan and escaped with KD 150 and his cell phone.
