Foul play suspected as Nepalese ‘loses’ his head using iron saw
KUWAIT CITY, May 5: A Nepalese expatriate died when the machine he was using to cut steel at the Shuaiba Port accidentally slashed his head off the body.
Securitymen and paramedics arrived at the scene immediately after a distress call was placed to the Operations Room to report the accident, and the body was referred to the Forensics.
Meanwhile, the Public Prosecution has registered the case as murder, and police have started investigating the other laborers who were present during the mishap.
Murder attempted: A citizen sustained serious injuries after a compatriot ran him over with his vehicle in Waha area. The two men are said to have engaged in a minor disagreement when the suspect knocked him down and escaped. A case was registered against the perpetrator for attempted murder at the Waha police station, while his description has been circulated among patrol officers for his arrest.
Indian maid dies: A 38-year old Indian domestic worker reportedly slumped and died at Block 4 in Sulaibikhat.
Rescue officers were prompt to the location after the Operations Room was notified. Upon arrival, the officers carried out preliminary test on the woman, where they discovered she suffered from heart disease. All efforts to revive the woman at the Sabah Hospital proved futile, so the remains were taken to the Forensics for further investigation.
Maid hurt in fall: An Ethiopian domestic worker sustained severe injury and additional fractures in various parts of the body when she jumped from the second floor of her sponsor’s residence in Abdullah Al-Mubarak area Wednesday.
Security operatives at the Operations Room responded to a distress call concerning the incident, and officers rushed the woman to the Farwaniya Hospital for treatment.
The case was registered in Farwaniya Police Station.
Asian beaten, robbed: An Asian has filed a complaint with police against four unknown persons, who beat him and forcibly took KD 240 cash from him.
The Asian told police he was walking in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh when four persons suddenly attacked him and stole KD 240 from him.
His assailants fled from the scene immediately after the incident. He provided police with a detailed description of the suspects and investigations are underway to arrest them.
