Husband detained, wife still at large Expats pay couple huge sum of money to get residence permit
KUWAIT CITY, April 30: Personnel from the Criminal Investigation Department led by Brigadier Abdullah Khalifa Al-Rashid have arrested a number of people for forging official documents, reports Al-Anba daily.
According to security sources the leader of the gang is female Kuwaiti owner of a company and her Arab husband.
The sources added the arrest came after the residence permits of six expatriates were cancelled by the Hawalli Labor Department because there were no records of their transactions.
Investigations revealed the expatriates had paid huge sum of money to the husband of the Kuwaiti woman to get residence permit.
The daily added the husband has been detained for interrogation while the wife is still at large.
Indian motorist runs over students : Three students who were run over by a reckless Indian man driving a Jeep, have been admitted to the intensive care unit of the Farwaniya Hospital with multiple injuries, reports Al-Shahed daily.
According to reports the students belong to a private Indian school in Khaitan. They were reportedly waiting for their parents to pick them after school hours. A security source said the driver hit many students and the vehicle came to a halt after colliding with another car.
Many other students who sustained minor injuries were treated on the spot by paramedics and allowed to go.
During interrogation the driver told police the Jeep brakes failed. Police are investigating.
