Egyptian man and a Filipino woman ‘jailed’ for selling illegitimate baby
KUWAIT CITY, April 28: The Criminal Court has sentenced a couple (Egyptian man and a Filipino woman) to five years imprisonment for selling their illegitimate baby to a Kuwaiti couple for KD 1,500, reports Al-Seyassah daily.
In court the Kuwaiti couple said they wanted to adopt the baby and the court refrained from issuing a verdict against them.
Family in drugs: The Muba-rak Al-Kabir police have arrested two brothers and their cousin for trafficking in drugs, reports Al-Rai daily.
According to security sources police received information that the suspects are selling drugs to university students.
Securitymen then set a trap for the men and caught them red-handed while selling drugs to a police agent. All the men are believed to be in their 30s.
‘Bachelors’ held: During a campaign in Sabah Al-Salem the Mubarak Al-Kabir police are said to have arrested the so-called bachelors or single men who were caught staying in homes meant for the Kuwaiti widows and divorced women, reports Al-Rai daily.
According to reports the raid followed a complaint filed by unidentified women who said the men living on the ground floor caused them inconvenience.
Most of the arrested men are believed to be residence law violators.
