Notice period
I have been working in a private company for more than one year. My residency type is Article 18 (work permit) and I am a local hire. My company has not signed any contract with me. I have signed only the contract which is required to transfer the residence by the Ministry of Social Affairs and Work. My question is, if I resign will I have to give a 3-month notice, one month or can I leave the company without any notice?

Answer: You can’t leave a company without notice although being a local hire you are entitled to a release. If nothing is mentioned on your contract then it has to be according to the Labor Law and as the new law says ‘3-months’ notice is required then this is what you are required to give but the company can allow you to give a lesser-period notice if it wants.
