Police arrest two for stealing, selling deported persons cars

KUWAIT CITY, April 27: The Farwaniya police have arrested an employee of the Citizen’s Service Office for transferring cars confiscated from people who are deported, in the name of a Bangladeshi man. The latter sold the cars and the money was shared by both men, reports Al-Qabas daily.
The daily quoting security sources said police acting on information put the Bangladeshi under surveillance and caught him when he arrived at the office to process the transactions.
During interrogation the Bangladeshi said he got information from unidentified sources on people who are deported and those being held at the Deportation Center. He then stole their cars and with the help of the employee transferred the vehicles in his name.
Both men have been referred to the Public Prosecution. Police are investigating how the transactions were processed, how many cars have been stolen and who they were sold to.

Asian robbed: Police have arrested three Syrians for impersonating police and robbing Asians, reports Al-Shahed daily.
The daily quoting security sources said police investigations revealed the suspects were holed up in an apartment in Farwaniya and armed with a search and arrest warrant issued by the Public Prosecution raided the apartment and caught the suspects.
Police are said to have seized from the impersonators stolen cell phones and wallets.
During interrogations the suspects have admitted to committing 17 crimes. The men have been referred to the authorities.

Worried father: When a worried father called the police because his son who had locked himself inside a room for 24 hours and refused to answer, securitymen broke the door and found the son playing video game, reports Arrouiah daily.
According to security sources the father scolded the son for misbehaving and the latter locked himself inside a room. The father said he was frightened he may have committed suicide.
The daily did not give more details.
