Police nab pimp duo: Police have arrested an Asian couple and are looking for six compatriots, reports Al-Shahed daily.
A police source said a Hawalli police patrol on routine duty suspected an Asian couple traveling in a car and ordered them to pull over, however the motorist stepped on the gas pedal and in vain attempt to escape collided with a dumpster.
Police arrested the couple and during interrogation they admitted to running a prostitution ring. They also admitted to forcing six runaway maids into prostitution.

Net pal blackmailed: Police are looking for an unidentified youth for blackmailing an unidentified young Kuwaiti woman and demanding money from her, reports Al-Rai daily.
According to the complainant the suspect is threatening to post her nude picture and a clip on the Internet website.
The woman said she befriended the youth in an Internet chat room and the suspect lured her to show him her nude body.

Kuwaiti actress held, freed: The Saudi police briefly arrested and released the Kuwaiti actress Haya Al-Shuaibi for causing injury to a worker in a restaurant in the kingdom, reports Al-Anba daily.
According to the daily it was nearly midnight when the worker in abidance with the law was about to close the door of the restaurant thus preventing the actress and her brother from entering the restaurant.
Haya allegedly pushed the door and caused injury to the worker. No action was taken because the worker and the sponsor dropped the complaint.
