‘Hacker’ steals women’s pictures Threatens to post them on website, demands money
KUWAIT CITY, April 23: Personnel from Criminal Investigation Department have arrested an unidentified Kuwaiti youth for hacking into computers of 20 young women, stealing their pictures and blackmailing them, reports Al-Shahed daily.
According to security sources the arrest came after several women complained to the police that the youth is blackmailing them by threatening to post their pictures on the website if they refused to pay them money.
Some women said even after they paid the money the youth kept blackmailing them. Acting on information provided by the women, police laid a trap for the suspect near his home and took him into custody as he was about to get into his car.
He has been referred to the authorities for further interrogations.
4 held for pornography: Personnel from the Criminal Investigation Department have arrested four Asians for duplicating and selling CDs containing porno material, reports Al-Qabas daily.
According to the daily, police acting on information raided an apartment in Bneid Al-Gar and caught the men red-handed and seized from them a number of machines and porno CDs.
