‘Damascus’ needs no agents for its defense

DAMASCUS should review and discuss all aspects of its decision to eliminate a paper on preparations for Israel to attack Lebanon from Tel Aviv.  Analyzing the first aspect, it seems this enthusiasm has not silenced the Syrian politics like the Arab world.  This silence has resulted in more violence in Israel due to the reduced political pressure from the Tel Aviv regime led by Netanyahu who is engulfed in political problems.

This scenario comes to mind after Syria denied allegations that it supplies ‘Scout’ missiles to the Lebanese Hezbollah.  Even if the Syrian leadership has not provided the missiles, it has already proven that it does not need agents, particularly the militias keen on dividing the country, to defend it and face Israeli threats.
We are not in a hurry to explain the current situation in Israel specifically the mounting international pressure on Tel Aviv regime.  The whole world is starting to recognize the ugly enemy day after day, especially after the latter’s operations to displace Palestinians from Jerusalem and take over Palestinian houses, which the Palestinians  inherited from their ancestors hundreds of years ago and they have been the legitimate owners of for tens of years.

However, the Arabs had earlier been swayed to quickly respond to the demands of Israel, so they lost their rights and were defeated in several wars until they had no choice but to accept the least of their decade-old demands.
When the Arabs increased their demands even if they do not have tools to protect their petitions, they started giving up their demands until they could no longer stop the Israelis from insulting their holy structures like the Al-Aqsa Mosque.  Arabs became confused due to internal disagreements which weakened their line of power; hence, they experienced one defeat after another.

We congratulate Damascus for its response because we have seen the perspective of a person who has given up his right to understand the political game.  Arabs will never be in a position to impose their demands.  The best that they can do is to allow the world power to understand the antagonistic nature of Israelis, without being swayed by enthusiasm that always ends in failure.
At this point, the international community has started criticizing the Israeli leadership due to its excessive use of force in Gaza and for committing crimes against humanity.  We should also take note of the current USA-Israeli conflict over the settlements in East Jerusalem and West Bank.

The so-called superpowers in the world have yet to understand the statements and expressions in the Arab world as it has its own calculations.  The response must be in accordance with international requirements but not the usual Arab dialogue which plays with the emotions of the public.  Syria’s rejection of the critics matches the American lecture, particularly since Damascus has been negotiating with Washington.  Damascus has finally gone out of the international isolation imposed on it over the last five years.

The West and the US comprehend the Syrian move, although it is independent in running its affairs and clearly understand the group that controls the decision-making process in the country.  This step is considered an attempt to merge with the international community, as well as develop relations with the US.

The Syrian rejection is the beginning of establishing correct relations with Lebanon, in addition to the elimination of hegemony which controlled relations between the two countries over the last decades.  Will they prove that Syria does not need arms from any group, which thinks that the weapons will be used to impose decisions on Lebanon?  Is this a sign that Syria has started playing the international political game professionally?  This is what we expect to happen in Syria soon.
