"Pay ransom or I’ll kill your wife" - Bangladeshi taxi driver threatens
KUWAIT CITY, April 17: Police are looking for a Bangladeshi taxi driver who allegedly kidnapped a 24-year-old Nepali woman and asked her husband to pay a ransom of KD 350 else, he will kill her, reports Al-Anba daily.
A case was registered at Sulaibikhat Police Station.
Arms found with ‘stuntman’: Police arrested a Kuwaiti youth for possessing an unlicensed gun and cartridges, reports Al-Anba daily.
The youth was injured when his car overturned while he was performing stunts in Wafra and was referred to Adan Hospital for treatment. Sources say police found the gun and 250 cartridges in his car.
Burglars loot chalet: Police are looking for burglars who broke into a Kuwaiti man’s chalet in Mina Abdullah area and escaped with electrical appliances and other goods worth KD 1,400, reports Al-Seyassah daily.
Personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department lifted fingerprints from the scene to ease investigation process.
Dept head, staff face sacking: A department director and some employees of Kuwait Municipality will be suspended from work and interrogated for the loss of documents related to 1,300 transactions, reports Al-Rai daily.
All the transactions were related to importing of food stuffs and the Legal Affairs Department reportedly recommended the action.
