Police arrest two bedouns for stealing 16 cars in Jahra Three held with drug pills; vehicles’ spare parts worth KD 560 stolen
KUWAIT CITY, April 16: The Jahra police have arrested two bedouns for stealing 16 cars from different areas in Jahra, reports Al-Rai daily.
According to a security source a police patrol on night duty saw the suspects driving in a suspicious manner and when police ordered them to pull over, they looked confused.
Records also showed the men were driving a stolen car. They were taken to a police station and during interrogation they admitted to stealing a total of 16 cars.
Meanwhile, a 43-year-old Kuwaiti woman has filed a complaint with the Rumaithiya Police Station accusing unidentified persons of stealing car parts worth KD 300, reports Al-Seyassah daily.
In her complaint the woman said among the stolen parts are car tyres and lights in addition to some other items.
Personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department have lifted fingerprints to identify the culprits.
Drug pills seized: In two different incidents police have arrested two Kuwaiti youths for possessing and consuming drugs and referred them to the General Department for Drug Control, reports Al-Anba daily.
In the first incident the Farwaniya police have arrested one youth for possessing 192 drug pills. He was taken into custody while driving along a road in Sabah Al-Nasser.
The daily said the youth was also under the influence of drugs.
Without going into details, the daily said the other youth was arrested on the Arabian Gulf Road and police are said to have seized from him 11 drug pills.
Meanwhile, custom officers at the Al-Salmi border post have arrested an unidentified Gulf citizen for attempting to smuggle into the country six drug pills, reports Al-Seyassah daily.
The daily added the man was arrested on suspicion because he looked confused when he arrived at the check point.
Police then searched him and his car and found the drugs in his pocket. He has been referred to the authorities.
Spare parts worth KD 560 stolen: An Afghan man has filed a complaint with the police accusing unidentified persons of breaking into his shop in the Amghara Scrapyard, reports Al-Seyassah daily.
In his complaint the man said the theft was discovered when he went to the shop in the morning. The thieves have reportedly escaped with used car spare parts worth KD 560.
Police are looking for the suspects.
