KUWAIT CITY April 15, (KUNA) : Police have arrested an unidentified Indian man for possessing 40 porno movies, reports Arrouiah daily.
According to security sources, a police patrol suspected the man because he was carrying a bag in hand and entered a cafe when he saw a police officer pass by.
The daily added, police went to the cafe and on checking the bag and found it contained CDs. He has been referred to the authorities.
Asian bootlegger held: The Ahmadi police have arrested an unidentified Asian man for bootlegging, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
According to reports, the man was arrested by a police patrol. Police have allegedly seized from him 36 bottles of booze.
During interrogation, the man has admitted to selling each bottle for KD 3. He has been referred to the authorities.
Wanted man nabbed: Securitymen arrested a ‘wanted’ Kuwaiti man in his 20s in possession of a stolen car in Al-Sabahiya area, reports Alam Al-Youm daily.
Sources say the suspect appeared nervous at a checkpoint and this prompted securitymen to check his data on their laptop which revealed that he was wanted in three robbery cases.
The suspect was referred to authorities for further investigation.
Maid accused of theft: A 40-year-old Kuwaiti man, whose identity has not been disclosed, has filed a complaint with the Umm Al-Haiman Police Station accusing his maid of stealing KD 3,000 in addition to gold ornaments, reports Arrouiah daily.
Police are looking for the housemaid.
Trespasser arrested: The Northern Border Patrolmen are said to have arrested an unidentified Asian man for entering the ‘Unauthorized Area’, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
Without going into details, the daily said the man has been referred to the State Security police.
Farmer steals iron fence: A Kuwaiti man has filed a complaint with the Fintas police accusing an Arab farmer of stealing 35-meter roll of iron fence from his farm, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
A breach of trust has been registered against the farmer.
Cash box stolen: Police are looking for an unidentified person for stealing the cash box from a pharmacy in Salmiya, reports Al-Shahed daily.
According to a complaint filed by the doctor working at the pharmacy, the box contained a lot of money. He told police the thief entered the pharmacy by breaking the lock on the main door.
Personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department have lifted fingerprints.
House broken into: An unidentified 40-year-old bedoun has filed a complaint with the police accusing unidentified persons of breaking into his home and stealing an electric motor, reports Alam Alyawm daily.
Police are looking for the suspect.
2 held for making stunts: The Jahra police have arrested two Kuwaitis - 21 and 24 years old - for reckless driving and making stunts with their cars in a suburb of Jahra, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily. They have been referred to the authorities.
3 Kuwaitis injured: Three Kuwaitis were severely injured in a two-car collision near Al-Shuwaikh housing area on the Jamal Abdul Nasser Street, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
Sources say the victims were rushed to Al-Sabah Hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, two Indians who were injured in a three-vehicle collision at the traffic light in Central Jahra have been admitted to a hospital, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The daily did not give more details.
