Police hunt US citizen in armed robbery, kill threat at car shop
KUWAIT CITY, April 14: Police are looking for an unidentified American citizen for breaking into a car sales office in Salmiya, threatening to shoot the owner of the office with a pistol and stealing his wallet containing KD 200, reports Al-Shahed daily.
In his complaint to the police the victim said the man was also armed with a knife in addition to the pistol.
On his way out, the owner said, the man damaged two cars. He had also allegedly damaged four more cars a few days ago.
Traffic cops attacked: Police have arrested four of the six Arabs for attacking two policemen and attempting to steal the service revolver from one of them, reports Al-Rai daily.
A police source said the incident happened when police ordered the men to pull over but they refused and continued driving.
However, police chased the car and forced the motorist to pull over. The men then got out of the car and picked up a fight with the cops. However, a backup force which was dispatched to the area arrested four men, while the two others escaped on foot.
Asian kills himself: An Asian man, whose identity has not been disclosed, is said to have ended his life by hanging himself with a rope, reports Al-Anba daily.
The corpse of the Asian has been referred to Forensics. The incident happened inside a camp in Salmi. Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
