Woman stunned - Beaten in mugging
KUWAIT CITY, April 8: A 45-year-old woman suffered from multiple injuries when an unidentified person attacked her and grabbed her handbag, which contained her mobile phone and some cash.
Security sources revealed the woman was about to enter an airline company in Salhiya to purchase a ticket. However, she was surprised when someone grabbed her bag, so she started shouting for help but the thief beat her causing injuries in different parts of her body. She was referred to Amiri Hospital.
A case was registered and investigations are ongoing to identify the thief.
Grocer foils theft bid: Security Al-Shuyoukh arrested a 19-year old Bedoun who tried to break into a grocery store in the area Thursday evening, says Al-Seyassah.
The Operations Room of Interior Ministry was alerted of a juvenile attempting to raid a grocery in Hassawi, and securitymen rushed to the location immediately. The Indian worker at the grocery told police he was surprised when the suspect tried to break the door of the grocery open, and then he tried to pursue the suspect. However, he managed to escape.
The officers collated the description of the suspect, which was circulated at all checkpoints, and after few hours, he was arrested. The suspect confessed the crime, and the case was registered at the police station.
Bedoun robbed: Police are looking for an unidentified person who allegedly broke into the home of a bedoun man in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh and stole KD 400 and other valuables, reports Al-Seyassah daily.
The daily added in his complaint to the police the bedoun said the incident happened when his family was visiting relatives.
Personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department have lifted fingerprints.
Police hunt thieves: The Sulaibiya police are looking for unidentified thieves who allegedly broke into a school’s Physical Training Department and stole 40 gold medals, 39 silver, five trophies and 60 soccer balls, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
Personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department have lifted fingerprints to identify the culprits.
