Suspect almost exposed himself

DID Hezbollah and its general secretary — Hassan Nasrallah — try to lead Lebanon to another chaos and war to stop destiny? Did it dream of obstructing the International Court proceedings to prevent any attempt to find the killers of martyr Rafiq Al-Hariri and protect the criminals from punishment by disturbing the court?  If some people follow the principle of Nazi minister Joseph Goebbels during the reign of Hitler - “Lie...lie...lie until the people believe”, others seem to have forgotten another statement — “Tell a short lie and you can lie to people for sometime but you cannot always lie to people.”

If Hezbollah in Lebanon thinks the game of instigating chaos and instability will protect it from any accountability for its mistakes, then it is wrong as this move only makes those around it more suspicious of its acts.  The recent chaos instigated by the group around the International Court is different from a similar attempt in 2006 when they led Lebanon into a devastating war, which resulted in a number of assassinations, including that of Rafiq Al-Hariri.  The group has continued committing crimes, while the people suffered the dire consequences of the war.

Hezbollah repeated this foolish act when it tried to instigate chaos around the International Court as the time draws near for the issuance of its ruling on the assassination of Al-Hariri.  Apparently, the Hezbollah and its general secretary are afraid of the court verdict as it will unveil many hidden information and unmask several ugly faces behind the crime.
I do not mean to preempt the court ruling and accuse anybody.  However, we cannot help but wonder about the recent activities of the group as it seems to be begging the authorities to come and get them.  The International Court focused on the suspicious acts of certain people.  The international judiciary will soon announce its verdict to end the rumors.

When somebody tries to prolong this case, we think he is either a criminal, an accomplice or he is trying to protect whoever committed the most atrocious crime in modern history.  We are not scared of the attempts of Hezbollah to cover the eyes of the International Court.  We are more afraid of the possibility that the group will push Lebanon towards another disaster - worse than the destructive war in 2006 - especially since some of the Hezbollah parliamentarians have started hinting that armed resistance is more important than national unity.  We all know that the armed resistance that Hezbollah has been claiming to lead over the last years is directly connected with the decisions in Iran.  Hezbollah cannot take any decision as it merely carries out the directives of Tehran.

Hezbollah is not concerned about the interests of Lebanon.  We have seen how the group left the Lebanese to suffer the aftermath of the war in 2006.  This group should realize that the international community is not a game in the hands of wishful thinkers, since it is a strong power and has the final say in international concerns.
When Lebanon asked the International Court to conduct investigations on the assassination of Al-Hariri, it was actually asking the whole world to stop the terrorist activities in its territories.  Again, we do not want to preempt the court ruling, but if Nasrallah really wants to know the truth about the murder of Al-Hariri, then he should work on it and stop attempts to disturb the International Court.
