KUWAIT CITY, April 5: The Mouth and Teeth Care Department at the Ministry of Health launched a nationwide public awareness campaign on mouth and teeth diseases, prevention and cure on April 1, which will last until April 22, says department supervisor Dr Sabeeha Al-Motawe. Al-Motawe explained the department has intensified its efforts to raise public awareness on various mouth and teeth diseases through lectures in schools, as well as health exhibitions in Mubarak Hospital, Islamic Medicine Center and some schools. She said this campaign came after a series of public awareness activities held earlier under the slogan, “Your Health in Your Smile”. 

Clarifying the department organized these activities in cooperation with the dental units in various health zones on the occasion of the Unified Gulf Week from March 25-31 under the auspices of Health Minister Dr Hilal Al-Sayer, Al-Motawe said this event was aimed at raising awareness on the importance of mouth and teeth care. During this week, many lectures were conducted in different schools and health centers with the participation of several government and private authorities, she added.
