Girl admits seducing, coaxing police officer to escape prison
KUWAIT CITY, April 4: Criminal Evidence Department officials arrested a 17-year-old girl who had escaped from police custody in connivance with a police officer on Friday, say sources.
The girl’s family had reported her ‘missing’ five months ago and securitymen recently found her and put her in custody from where she had escaped.
However, Criminal Evidence Department officials managed to find her at her relative’s house in Hawalli within 48 hours of her escape and brought her back to the department.
During interrogations, the girl admitted that she lured the police officer into having a physical relationship with him and they managed to do so in the women’s bathroom of the police station. She then allegedly threatened to inform all others if he did not help her escape from the prison.
The frightened officer then secretly took her in his vehicle and left her in Riggae from where she took a taxi and went to Hawalli.
Investigations are going on and both involved will go through forensic examination, say sources.
The police officer is still in custody. Incidentally, the girl admitted that the officer was very embarrassed and seemed ashamed of himself during the act.
Minister of Interior Sheikh Jaber Al-Khaled and acting Undersecretary are following the case, say sources.
Drug peddler nabbed: The Kuwait International Airport police have arrested a Kuwaiti man for trafficking in narcotic pills and heroin, reports Al-Anba daily.
According to sources police acting on information set a trap for the man and caught him red-handed while selling a quantity of drugs to a police agent.
A police source said when the Kuwaiti sensed the presence of police his bedoun partner got into a car and escaped. Police chased him until he crashed into a wire fence but he still managed to escape on foot.
Police have seized from the car 250 grams of heroin, 250 grams of cocaine and 7,600 narcotic pills.
Selling liquor VIP’s car: Police have arrested an Asian man for trading in locally-manufactured booze. The man and the booze have been referred to the authorities, reports Al-Anba daily.
According to reports the suspect was arrested in Jahra but surprisingly the car the man was driving is registered in the name of an unidentified Asian Embassy. The car also carried a diplomatic number plate.
It has been reported police have seized from the car 60 bottles of booze.
However, the Alam Alyawm daily said the car belongs to an unidentified VIP.
20 kilos drugs buried: The Northern Border patrolmen have arrested a bedoun for trafficking in hashish, reports Al-Anba daily.
According to sources police acting on information put the bedoun under surveillance and caught him red-handed while digging the drugs from a desert area which he had hidden earlier.
During interrogation it was learnt the bedoun got the drugs from an Iraqi peddler and buried them in a desert to avoid arrest.
The same sources said police have recovered from the hole in the ground 20 kilos of hashish. The bedoun has admitted to smuggling the drugs from Iraq five times.
