PM vows greater efforts for aiding handicapped people Sheikh Nasser praises Gulf Disability Society

KUWAIT CITY, March 24, (KUNA): His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah on Tuesday pledged greater state-level efforts for aiding the segment of special challenges, encouraged by their strong will.
Sponsoring and attending a theatrical show on the occasion of the Fifth Gulf Week for the Handicapped, held at Al-Shamiyah Theatre, His Highness in a pre-taped statement said the contemporary technological revolution has contributed to resolving many problems, suffered by mankind in the past, noting that the modern technology has been employed for aiding the cases of special needs people.
His Highness praised the Gulf Disability Society for choosing modern technology for aid of the handicapped as the logo of the event.


The Kuwaiti government care for the citizens of special challenges emanates not only from moralistic and social commitments but also from the adherence to the vow to secure full care for the citizens, the Prime Minister affirmed.
He praised members of the National Assembly for adopting the legislation for this segment of the society, in line with desire of HH the Amir, Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and hailed parents whose children suffer from some impairments, setting an example for strong will, patience and challenge.
“The strong will and solid determination and the spirit of challenge that distinguish our citizens of special needs nudge us to work harder to make use of the skills of this segment of the society for promotion of the dear homeland under leadership, the guides of our march and rennaissance, His Highness the Amir and His Highness the Crown Prince,” Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammad added on the Gulf occasion.
Several eminent figures made addresses at the ceremony, followed by a charity auction for promotion of paintings, proceeds of which to be allocated for the citizens of special challenges.
