BAS concludes another excellent soccer course

The British Academy of Sports (BAS) concluded recently yet another excellent Soccer course. This course included a very exciting tournament at the Salmiya Club against the French School and the American International School, where the British Academy of Sports team did exceptionally well. This course also saw the introduction of our brand new, free, soccer kit, sponsored by Pom Potes.  Many thanks to our sponsor!

A large number of students attended this year’s second course and it’s popularity continues to grow. Students are grouped according to age and ability and enjoy being taught skills and playing games in an exciting and positive environment. By the end of this course all the coaches were very impressed with how much progress the students had made. All the coaches are experienced and qualified soccer coaches and the majority are also qualified school teachers.

At the end of each course the winning teams and outstanding players are awarded trophies and medals and all of the participants are awarded course completion certificates.  The third course of Soccer starts on Saturday, April 17, 2010, at the usual time of 09.00 to 11.00 at the PAYS Mishrif pitch and each student receives a quality free soccer ball on the first day.  During the third course we will look to challenge the Premier Football Academy!

The last day of the course is always very exciting. Students play with a great deal of enthusiasm and passion as they battle for the ball, trying to impress their coaches and win trophies and medals.  But most importantly, by the end of the course each student has improved their skills and further developed their love of the beautiful game!
