Pay phone bills or face action: Ministry Subscribers ‘to be given 3months’
KUWAIT CITY, March 22: Landline phone subscribers, who haven’t cleared their overdue bills, will be given three months’ notice, following which they will be referred to judiciary, Al-Rai daily quoted Assistant Undersecretary for Subscribers Sector at the Ministry of Communications Rashed Al-Mae as saying. For those using the service at home, the ministry will disconnect lines if the overdue bill exceeds KD 50.
The subscribers will then be given three months’ time to clear the bill, failing which they will be referred to judiciary. Subscribers wanting to discontinue the service will have to pay the full value which comes to KD 65, noted Al-Mae. He said the ministry will install many switchboards in agricultural areas in Al-Abdali, Al-Wafra and South of Al-Sabahiya. He added that a switchboard has already been installed in Aman Street.
