Night party ‘spoilt’ Asian stabbed in surprise attack by youths

KUWAIT CITY, March 21: Securitymen arrested four Kuwaiti men and their three female compatriots at a checkpoint in Salmiya Saturday as they were allegedly on their way to a night party.
While patrolling the area, the securitymen noticed the suspicious behavior of a group of Kuwaiti men and women, so they stopped them for routine inspection. During interrogation, the group admitted they were on their way to a night party. They were referred to the authorities for further investigation and other necessary legal action.

Asian stabbed in surprise attack by youths:: An Asian was stabbed when two youths raided an apartment annexed to a certain building in Jahra with knives. Another Asian who was present with the victim at the time of the incident is said to have managed to seize the accomplice, and then called the Operations Room, while the perpetrator escaped.
Acting on information received by the Operations Room, Jahra security operatives and paramedics rushed to the location to manage the situation, and the victim was referred to Jahra hospital for treatment.
In the meantime, the youth has been detained at the police station, while the case is registered for investigation to bring the thief who stabbed the Asian to justice.

Trio admits robbing camping tents : Al-Ahmadi Governorate Intelligence Department of the General Department of Criminal Investigations has arrested a gang of three stateless persons after undercover investigations revealed they were behind crimes related to theft of camps.
The Department explained in a press statement that based on investigations, the three were ambushed, where they admitted stealing 15 camps in Mina Abdullah, Nuwaiseeb and Kabad areas and guided detectives to the store where they hid the loot in one of farms in Wafra area.
The statement added that 13 generators, many of tents, furniture, electrical appliances, motorcycles were found in their possession, pointing out that the three looters were identified after they were presented before victims including camp guards who had been subjected to beatings at the time of the crimes.
The Department called on owners of such belongings to come and identify their stolen properties. (KUNA)


Woman mugged: A Kuwaiti woman, in her 40s, lodged a complaint with police against an unidentified youth who allegedly snatched her bag while she was shopping at a commercial complex in Farwaniya Saturday.
The woman told police she was busy checking the items inside a shop in the complex when the youth took her bag by force and fled from the scene. She said her bag contained KD 290 cash, a mobile phone and bank cards. She provided police with a detailed description of the suspect, copies of which have been distributed to various checkpoints and security institutions to arrest the thief.

Ambulance hit: Securitymen arrested a reckless driver who rammed his vehicle into an ambulance on a safety lane. The ambulance was carrying a woman to Mubarak Hospital and since there was a traffic jam, it was using the safety lane. The Arab motorist crashed into the ambulance from the back. A case was registered.

Reports denied: A report published by an unidentified Bahraini newspaper that a Kuwaiti woman was involved in money laundering has been denied by the Kuwaiti security sources, reports Awan daily.
The daily quoting security sources said the newspaper had earlier published a report accusing a Bahraini minister and an employee in his office of money laundering to help the Iranian Revolutionary Guards.

‘Betrayed’ by wife
: An Asian man in his 60s, whose identity has not been disclosed, is said to have ended his life by hanging himself with a rope in his home in Salmiya, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The daily quoting sources said the wife told police the man had locked himself inside his room and when she forced open the door she found the man dangling from a rope.
The daily added police have a suicide note which said the man committed suicide because he felt betrayed by his wife.
The remains of the victim have been referred to Forensics. The wife is being interrogated by police.
