KUWAIT CITY, March 21: Three Asians died and eight other people suffered injuries in separate traffic accidents that took place in the country in the last 48 hours.
Sources say two Asians in their 40s died when they were run over by a Kuwaiti motorist on Kabad Motorway. The victims were crossing the road and had some horses along with them.
The Kuwaiti motorist said he was caught by surprise and could not avoid hitting the victims. He suffered injuries in the accident and was referred to Adan Hospital while the remains of the victims were referred to forensics, say sources, adding a case was registered.
In another tragic incident, a young Asian man in his 30s lost his life in a two-car collision on the Seventh Ring Road towards Thaher area. Sources say he suffered serious injuries in his head and his left leg was severed in the accident. His remains were referred to forensics and a case was registered.
Meanwhile, a Kuwaiti youth, 22, suffered injuries in a traffic accident on King Fahd Motorway. He was referred to Adan Hospital.
Another Kuwaiti, 26, had to be rushed to Amiri Hospital after his bike skidded on Gulf Street.
In a similar incident, a 25-year-old Kuwaiti motorcyclist fractured his foot and right hand when he fell off his bike opposite Messila area.  He was admitted to Mubarak Hospital.
Three people — two Kuwaitis and a Saudi — suffered fractures when their vehicle turned turtle on Fahaheel Motorway. They were referred to Adan Hospital.
In Hawalli, an Asian in his 20s got injured when he hit a vehicle belonging to Kuwait Municipality. He was referred to Mubarak Hospital.
