KUWAIT, March 21, (Agencies): Minister of Communications and Minister of State for National Assembly Affairs Dr Mohammed Mohsen Al-Busairi asserted here Sunday the government’s self-composure and optimism concerning the National Assembly special session on no-confidence motion next Thursday.
Minister Al-Busairi said in his reply to a question by journalists in this regard that government is “self-composed and optimistic on the no-confidence motion session” regarding Minister of Oil and Minister of Information Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.
The National Assembly discussed in its session last week a request made by member Ali Al-Deqbasi for holding an interpellation against minister Al-Abdullah in his capacity and it ended up with 10 members submitting no-confidence motion against the minister.
The National Assembly Speaker Jassem Al-Khorafi declared then that he was going to hold a special session on March 25, 2010, namely next Thursday, to discuss the request.
Meanwhile, MP Faisal Al-Duwaisan has affirmed his support for the no-confidence motion against Oil and Information Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, increasing the number of lawmakers who support the motion to 23, reports Alam Al-Yawm quoting sources.

Pressure
Sources added MP Saad Al-Khanfour, who has yet to announce his official stand, is also facing mounting pressure to support the no-confidence motion against the minister.  Sources said he is the only Al-Rashidi tribe member who has not affirmed support for the motion.
On the other hand, parliamentary sources unveiled the opposition’s plan to present surprising information during the no-confidence vote slated for Thursday.  Sources claimed the opposition will divulge the statements of the minister to one of the television channels to humiliate the MPs who support him.
Meanwhile, State Minister for Cabinet Affairs Roudhan Al-Roudhan has refuted reports that the number of lawmakers, who support the no-confidence motion, totaled 24.  He asserted the government will attend the session on Thursday full of confidence and ruled out any Cabinet reshuffle under the current circumstances.
