Sex in the ‘loo’ Saudi onions sold as Indian
KUWAIT CITY, March 20: Security forces apprehended a housemaid and a driver working for the same Kuwaiti sponsor in Saad Al-Abdullah area, after they were caught having sex inside the bathroom of their sponsor’s diwaniya, reports Al-Rai daily.
The sponsor is said to have heard the two lovers giggling inside the bathroom and decided to find out what was happening, where he caught them in the act. He went ahead to call the police, who arrived at the place and took the culprits into custody. The two lovers have since been referred to the concerned authority.
Husband ‘steals’ wife’s money: A Kuwaiti woman lodged a complaint against her husband, accusing him of withdrawing money from her account without her knowledge, reports Al-Anba daily.
The woman narrated she was shocked when she discovered KD 4,000 was missing from her money at the bank, whereas officials at the bank told her the money had been withdrawn upon a valid power of attorney.
Police have since registered the case, and the husband will be summoned for questioning.
Saudi onions sold as Indian: A team from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry has recently confiscated 50 tons of onion, believed to have been imported from Saudi Arabia, from a certain warehouse, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The daily quoted a ministry source as saying the onion was being packed into new sacks to be sold as Indian onions, which is normally sold at a high price.
Mad dash maims many on roads : A car hit a woman while she was crossing a road opposite Sheikha Complex in Salmiya Friday evening. Acting on information, paramedics rushed to the scene and administered first aid on the spot.
Meanwhile, a speeding car ran over a Bangladeshi expatriate, chopping his left leg, while he was crossing a street in front of the Ministry of Information, say sources. Paramedics rushed him to Amiri Hospital.
In a similar incident, a 17-year-old Kuwaiti sustained injuries when a car ran over him. He was referred to Adan Hospital. Sources say the motorist escaped from the scene.
In another development, two expatriates - a Pakistani and a Syrian - suffered injuries in a two-car collision on the First Ring Road. Paramedics referred them to a hospital.
Another accident took place on the Fifth Ring Road, opposite Jabriya, causing injuries to a 53-year-old Bangladeshi man. He also suffered fractures in his right hand and was referred to Mubarak Hospital.
Furthermore, a 60-year-old Syrian expatriate sustained serious injuries in the head when he was hit by a car in Farwaniya. He was admitted to Farwaniya Hospital and is said to be in a critical condition.
A Kuwaiti man suffered injuries in a traffic accident on Al-Mitla Road early Saturday. He was referred to Jahra Hospital.
Lastly, three expatriates - an Indian, an Iranian and an Egyptian - suffered injuries when their cars collided with each other. They were referred to Amiri Hospital.
