One hurt, two in custody as 3 Kuwaitis fight in public
KUWAIT CITY, March 20: A Kuwaiti, in his 30s, engaged in a public brawl with three others in Abdullah Mubarak.
Securitymen and paramedics rushed to the scene after receiving information about the fight. One of them sustained injuries in different parts of his body and he was referred to Farwaniya Hospital. The other members of the feuding parties were referred to a nearby police station for interrogation.
Preliminary investigations revealed the men had a heated argument over a parking space at a shopping complex.
4 held with drugs: Securitymen arrested four Bedouns, in their 20s, for the possession of 19 narcotic pills and two rolls of hashish in Fahaheel.
While patrolling the area, the securitymen noticed a vehicle parked suspiciously near a school. When they approached the vehicle, they found four Bedouns inside who said they were waiting for a friend. Noticing the confused state of the Bedouns, police checked the vehicle thoroughly until they found a bag containing 19 narcotic pills and two rolls of hashish.
During the operation, one of the suspects tried to flee from the scene but police chased him and referred him to the authorities, along with his three companions.

While guarding an inmate admitted to Farwaniya Hospital, the securitymen noticed the suspicious movement of a man wearing the Ministry of Interior (MoI) uniform. When they approached the man to check his identification card, the security officers discovered he was under the influence of alcohol. He also refused to present his ID card and insisted that he was deployed to the hospital to watch over the sick inmates. He confessed that he drank a bottle of alcohol while on duty.
A case was registered and investigations are ongoing to determine if the GCC national is a genuine military officer.
