Indian worker, 5 water tanker drivers held Six charged with stealing state property
KUWAIT CITY, March 19: Police have arrested an unidentified Indian worker and five Asian water tanker drivers for allegedly stealing state property, reports Al-Shahed daily.
This came when the Minister of Electricity and Water Bader Al-Shuraian Thursday was on an inspection tour on the ministry’s facilities and when he reached the Al-Subbiya water pumping station he did not find the Kuwaiti manager of the station but to his surprise the office was managed by the Indian messenger and he was surrounded by the five drivers.
He was using the ministry stamp and collecting money from the water tanker drivers who supply water to residents of the area.
The minister called the Operations Department of the Ministry of Interior and arrested the Indian and the tanker drivers.
All those arrested have been referred for interrogation and charged with stealing state property.
