KUWAIT CITY, March 17, (KUNA): FIFA, football’s official worldwide governing body, pledged Wednesday the support of the establishment of a Kuwaiti women’s national team. This came after FIFA’s Head of Development, Nidhal Al-Hadid met Head of the Kuwaiti Women’s Committee and Kuwaiti Women’s Football Department in the Kuwait Olympic Committee, Sheikha Naeema Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, and Secretary of the interim committee which administers the Kuwaiti football federation, Nasser Taher. For her part, Sheikha Naeema praised FIFA’s cooperation, and commitment to enable the sport for women according to planned out strategy. Taher in turn also pledged the interim committee’s support of female football according to FIFA’s directions.
