I am a Sri Lankan working in the private sector. My work permit shows that my salary is KD100/- but I earn more (Visa 18).
My wife is a domestic helper (Article 20). Please advise me on the following.
1) Can she give birth to the baby in Kuwait?
2) Can I sponsor my child?
3) What is the minimum salary required to sponsor the child.

Answer: Your wife can give birth to the baby in Kuwait but you can’t sponsor the child because your salary is less than the minimum requirement of KD250/- and this salary should be mentioned on the work permit.
You have to take the baby out of the country within 60 days of its birth.
