WE were glad to see pictures of Egyptian President Mohammed Hosni Mubarak on television after undergoing surgery recently.  He appeared to be in good health while talking to doctors in Germany. We wish him speedy recovery as he has a history full of honorable stands with Kuwait.  This is the image we want to keep in our hearts for him and Egypt - the Mother of the World — a phrase coined by its people for their beloved nation.

We are really happy on the recovery of Mubarak who is the epitome of stability in Egypt and its relations with the entire world, especially the Arab and Islamic countries.  He is a sensible and sincere leader with a clear vision for the future.  We then beseech Almighty Allah to restore the health of Mubarak and allow him to return to Egypt peacefully as his country still needs him.  We also thank God for the safety of the Egyptian president.
