WELL done Finance Minister Mustafa Al-Shamali for announcing that the government has no intention to approve any proposal on granting money to the people. Proponents of these proposals act as if the public funds have been allocated for trivial purposes.

We have been waiting for this step over the last few years to prevent some MPs from giving money that comes from the pockets of others to win the hearts of voters. This will also stop the lawmakers from presenting impractical proposals. No country in other parts of the world has witnessed the submission of such proposals, only Kuwait. I believe none of the lawmakers in other countries have ever thought of presenting these proposals.

The government has finally announced its stand without hesitation. For the first time, the executive stood firm in its decision not to give in to the impossible demands of the parliamentarians. Forgive us!
“Present feasible demands if you desire conformity.”
