FORMER British prime minister Tony Blair had earlier presented a strategic plan on the development of Kuwait until 2035.  He and his team have specified ways to develop the country in the next 25 years.

This is a superb and multifaceted plan but we cannot help but worry about the possibility that it might vanish into thin air due to the bureaucratic procedures in various government institutions.  We should not also forget those who prioritize political and personal interests over the welfare of the country as they might impede the implementation of the plan.

We hope HH the Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Ahmad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah drives the ‘train of development’ to protect the plan from bureaucracy in the government and ensure its execution for the benefit of the country and its people.  Forgive us!
