KUWAIT CITY, March 14: A 24-year-old GCC national has been arrested for molesting and attempting to rape a 12-year-old Kuwaiti girl in his flat Sunday.
The rape bid was foiled by an alert expatriate who noticed the suspect trying to lure the girl to enter his building. The girl was returning home from a nearby grocery and somehow the suspect coaxed her to come to his flat. Shortly afterwards, when the expatriate heard the girl’s screams, he rushed to the suspect’s flat and overpowered him. The girl is said to have escaped from the scene during the scuffle.
A case was registered at Farwaniya Police Station and the accused was referred to Criminal Evidence Department for further investigation.

Asian drinks paint: An Asian expatriate was found dead after he drank paint inside a stable in Salmi. Acting on information received by the Operations Room of the Interior Ministry, Criminal Evidences Men arrived at the scene, and the corpse was referred to the Forensics for  autopsy.
According to security sources, the man was hysterical following a letter he received from his home country, and he drank paint until he fell and died. Rescue men arrived very late, and there was nothing the team could have done to revive him. The case has been registered.

Youth stabbed: Jahra securitymen arrested a man for stabbing a youth and causing him grave injuries on Sunday.
Sources say the Operations Room initially received information that a severely bleeding youth was lying on the Fifth Ring Road opposite Sulaibhikhat graveyard. Subsequently, police and paramedics rushed to the scene. The injured youth said he knew his attacker, gave a few details and fell unconscious. He was then referred to intensive care unit of Farwaniya Hospital.
A case was registered and Jahra patrols managed to arrest the accused shortly. During interrogation, he said a fight broke out between him and the injured and when the latter took out a weapon, he stabbed the latter with a knife.
Investigations are still going on, added sources.

Dad reports drunk son:  Kuwaiti man filed a case against his son in Naim police station, after he heard loud music coming from his son’s room and he went there to find out what was wrong, only to discover his son was heavily intoxicated. Police arrived at the house and arrested the culprit, and he has since been referred to the concerned authority for prosecution.
