Kuwait Chamber Philharmonia  5th Kuwait Int’l Chopin Competition for young pianists at any age and level (in 4 age groups under 9, under 13, under 16 and over 16).
Final concert with awarding ceremony – March 13, at Radisson Blu Hotel.
All participants will be awarded but proportionally to their results. The best participants will be recommended by Int’l Jury panel to the 1st Gulf Int’l Chopin Competition, which will also run in Kuwait on March 17 to 20, at Radisson Blu Hotel.
On the opening of the Gulf competition, a gala concert by National Symphony Orchestra from Poland at Hashemi II Grand Ballroom with soloists Polish and French winners of Chopin competition.
Celebration of F. Chopin’s International Year – 200th Anniversary Birthday Jubilee in Kuwait, considered as Chopin Cultural Capital of Gulf Region is held under High Patronage of HH Sheikh Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Minister of Al-Diwan Al-Amiri Affairs.
