Call to arrest arsonists as four cars set on fire : Mohammad Al-Hajji, a Kuwaiti, has asked the securitymen to immediately take the necessary steps to identify the arsonists, who set fire to his three cars and another one belonging to an army colonel at the Ministry of Interior, in front of his residence at Shuhada area Tuesday. The complainant told police he woke up early on that day and was surprised to see the cars on, so he quickly informed security operatives in the Operations Room. However, it was too late to avert the disaster because the four cars had burnt into ashes before the rescue officers and firefighters arrived at the scene. He valued his three cars at KD30,000.
He also complained that after the official registration of the case at Zahra Police Station, the officers removed the car belonging to the colonel while they left his three cars untouched. He and the colonel rent a floor each from a house belonging to a compatriot, where they have been living for about a month and a half. He added the colonel had a similar experience in Yarmouk in the past. He also feels bad that five days after the incident the cars are still in the same place without any efforts by security officers to remove them. The detectives have commenced investigation concerning the incident.
