Ethiopian couple , Indian busted at airport in drug smuggling bid

KUWAIT CITY, March 13: Security officers at the Kuwait International Airport arrested an Ethiopian housemaid and a male compatriot who attempted to smuggle 7,000 narcotic pills worth KD 100,000 into the country, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The officers were alerted the housemaid would be arriving in the country Friday, March 12, whereas police facilitated her entry without inspecting her bags at the airport. She was later arrested in possession of the contraband, in the company of her compatriot, who turned up at the airport to drive her home.
During interrogation, the Ethiopian said she was lured into drug trafficking and made to believe the passage was safe, and that she would be given KD 5,000. Police went on to raid the male compatriot’s apartment, where several Asians were arrested and referred to the authority for questioning.
Meanwhile, a security source noted drugs are often sold to the youth and students, which turn to affect their mental health. 

Indian held with heroin: Securi-tymen at the Kuwait International Airport arrested an Indian expatriate for trading in heroin, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
Securitymen had learnt that the trader had earlier smuggled heroin and was looking for a buyer. They then arrested him in a buy-bust operation near the airport while selling heroin to a police agent with marked police money.
Police seized one kilogram of heroin from the trader.

Girl furious at boyfriend: Police are on the lookout for a girl who tried to run over her boyfriend, after she damaged his car in front of his home in Taima, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The girl is said to have lost self-control when she felt her boyfriend has abandoned her for another girl. She drove to his home and crashed into his car several times, and then tried to knock him down.
