Thief caught red-handed Two critical in Jahra youths fight
KUWAIT CITY, March 13: A fierce fight broke out among five youths in Taima, resulting in severe injuries to two of them. They were referred to Jahra hospital for treatment, while Jahra security officers managed to control the situation. The case was registered at Taima police station.
In another incident, one individual was injured when two youths engaged in a fight at a famous shopping mall in Salmiya. The injured person was referred to Mubarak hospital, and the case was registered at the police station.
Thief caught: A Kuwaiti citizen managed to seize an Asian who tried to rob his home in Fahaheel. The citizen entered the house just when the thief was preparing to leave with the items he had stolen. The thief tried to escape in vain.
Securitymen swiftly arrived at the house after being called. During investigation the officers discovered the thief had violated residency law, and was referred to the concerned authority.
Wanted man held: Security operatives from Hawalli apprehended an expatriate wanted for his involvement in a financial case Friday night, in the company of another person, who was also nabbed for consuming alcohol. They were referred to the concerned authority for necessary action.
Meanwhile, in a similar incident, securitymen arrested an Asian expatriate wanted for various criminal offenses at Kuwait International as he tried to leave the country. He was referred to concerned authority.
Salesman beaten, robbed: Two youths burgled a candy shop in Jahra commercial area Friday and made away with KD 500 cash and escaped in a car. A security source said the thieves attacked owner of the shop and stole the money. The case has been registered, while the search for the suspects is ongoing.
15 illegals caught: Fifteen individuals were apprehended in Jahra during a recent campaign against residency violation. They were all referred to concerned authority for necessary action.
3 nabbed drunk: Security operatives from Ahmadi seized three youths for consuming alcohol. The officers were on routine patrol when they spotted the youths on King Fahad Expressway and ordered them to stop, due to erratic manner the motorist was driving. During questioning, the officers noticed they were drunk, and three bottles of liquor were found after they searched the car.
Woman run over, dies: The remains of an unidentified Asian woman who was run over by a hit-and-run motorist on the Abu Halifa Coastal Road have been referred to Forensics.
Acting on information about the accident the Operations Department of the Interior Ministry dispatched paramedics but by the time helped reached the woman, she had succumbed to her injuries and loss of blood.
