KUWAIT CITY, March 12: Police ha-ve arrested an unidentified South East Asian man for possessing eight cartons containing 60 bottles of locally-manufactured booze, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The man was caught while driving in a bus. During interrogation he has admitted to bootlegging. He has been referred to the General Department for Drugs Control.

Maid falls to her death: An Asian maid reportedly fell to her death from the third floor of her sponsor’s home in Mubarak Al-Kabir, reports Al-Rai daily.
According to reports this happened when the maid was trying to escape from the house through the window. Her leg slipped and she fell in the house compound.
Police are investigating why the maid wanted to escape from the house. The remains of the victim have been referred to Forensics.

18 drug pills seized: Police have arrested a Kuwaiti man in his thirties for possessing 18 drug pills. He was caught on the costal road in Ahmadi, reports Al-Seyassah daily.
According to a security source, the suspect was caught by night patrolmen. The same source said the suspect tried in vain to escape when he was ordered to pull over.
He has been referred to the authorities.

Maid attempts suicide: A 44-year-old Sri Lankan maid who tried to end her life inside her sponsor’s home in Abdullah Al-Mubarak Wednesday has been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit of the Farwaniya Hospital, reports Al-Seyassah daily.
According to security sources the family called the Operations Department of the Ministry of Interior and paramedics rushed to the house and took the woman to the hospital.
It has been reported police found next to the unconscious maid a bottle of chemicals.
Police are investigating why the woman wanted to end her life.

Man dies during prayer: A Pakistani man fell and died at noon inside a mosque in the Shuwaikh Industrial Area while praying, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
According to eyewitness reports the man died when he lay prostrate in prayer. The remains of the man have been referred to Forensics.
