KUWAIT CITY, March 12: The Kuwaiti parents of an unidentified two-year-old child have been arrested by police for negligence and charged with murder, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
According to reports this happened when the parents were arguing over the correct method of feeding the child. As a result the child died after the head hit the corner of a table. The incident happened in Al-Qurain.
It has been reported the husband objected to his wife’s method of feeding the child and the wife threatened to go to her mother’s house with the child. The parents were involved in a tug of war fighting over the child. Both of them started pulling and tugging at the child and accidentally the child’s head hit the edge of a table.
The child was rushed to the Adan Hospital but was declared dead upon arrival.
Meanwhile, a Kuwaiti woman, identified only as Umm Bader, Thursday appealed to the concerned people of Kuwait to stop the reckless driving on the streets as a result of which she says she lost her son during celebrations on the National Day, reports Al-Anba daily.
The son was run over by unidentified young motorists who were racing against each other on a public road. Umm Bader made this appeal through a program called ‘With People’ on the Scope Television.
Umm Bader has praised the role played by Interior Ministry by supporting her side.
She added her ex-husband wants to forget about the incident because she alleges he has been paid ‘handsome’ blood money by the family of the motorist who killed her son.
She has pleaded with the Ministry of Interior not to close the file of the case until her rights are realized.
