Asian held with 25 liquor bottles
KUWAIT CITY, March 11: Securitymen have arrested an Asian for trading in locally brewed alcohol in Ahmadi.
While patrolling the area, the securitymen noticed a vehicle parked suspiciously in a deserted place. Asked why he was in the area, the driver told police he was waiting for his friend but he looked confused.
Police then searched his vehicle where they found 25 bottles of local alcohol ready for sale. He was referred to the authorities for the necessary legal action.
In another incident, police have arrested an Iraqi, in his 30s, for consuming alcohol. During their routine duty in the same governorate, the securitymen noticed the suspicious behavior of the Iraqi, so they stopped him for inspection.
Police discovered he was under the influence of alcohol with a bottle of imported alcohol in his possession. He was referred to the authorities for further interrogation and other legal action.
Afghan found dead: An Afghani man in his mid-40s was found dead in front of an under-construction building in Hasawi. Based on a distress call received by the Operations Room of the Interior Ministry about the episode, police and paramedics rushed to the scene, where paramedics pronounced the man had already died, after they examined the body.
iminal Evidences Men carried the corpse to the Forensics for autopsy. The man is believed to have died of natural causes.
Cable thieves caught: Securitymen arrested a GCC national and another Bedoun in their 20s who were found in possession of a quantity of stolen iron and copper cables at the Amghara scrapyard, after the officers spotted the vehicle that was carrying the stolen items at night and ordered the driver to stop.
Security sources said the man became confused when police questioned him, prompting them to search inside the vehicle, where the items were discovered.
