Man fails to hoodwink Customs Youths knifed in camping brawl
KUWAIT CITY, March 10: Customs officers apprehended an Arab expatriate arriving from Cairo in the company of his mother, after two pieces of hashish and other narcotic pills were found in his possession.
The man aroused suspicion of the officers when he arrived in the country Wednesday morning, and after checking him, they found drugs. He was referred to the concerned authorities without delay.
2 hurt in fight: Two Kuwaiti youths in their 20s sustained severe injuries during a public brawl among six youths at a campsite in Sabiya Tuesday.
Security operatives received a distress call about the episode and promptly dispatched rescue officers and paramedics to the scene. Paramedics rushed the victims to a hospital for treatment, whereas rescue officers arrested other members of the feuding party, who were referred to the police station for investigation.
Preliminary investigation revealed a minor misunderstanding among the youths escalated into a fight, which involved sharp objects.
Officer abused: An officer working at Sabah Al-Nasser police station filed a case against a Kuwaiti citizen who allegedly abused him while on duty.
The officer complained the accused insulted him after he ordered him to stop, and he issued a traffic citation against him for reckless driving. The case has been registered for investigation, and the citizen will be summoned for interrogation.
Cash stolen from car: A Kuwaiti man in his 30s lodged a complaint at Jahra Police Station saying thieves stole KD 800 from his car, which he had parked in front of Jahra Hospital.
The complainant said he went to the hospital to see his friend and on returning, he found the windshield broken and discovered the theft. Criminal Evidence Department men lifted fingerprints from the car and registered a case.
