Body plucked from sea

KUWAIT CITY, March 9: The corpse of a 51-year-old Iranian woman was found floating in the sea opposite a famous coffee shop on the Arabian Gulf Street Tuesday.
Sources say patrols on routine duty saw the body ‘floating’ on water and called Medical Emergency Department men, who pulled her out and confirmed that she had died. The woman’s remains were referred to Forensics to identify the cause of her death. Securitymen are investigating the case and are trying to ascertain whether it was a murder.

Pakistan held: Securitymen have arrested a Pakistani for trying to smuggle fuel to Iraq.
According to security sources, the Abdally Customs officers have foiled the attempt of a Pakistani to smuggle fuel to Iraq.
Initial investigations revealed the suspect has been taking fuel to Iraq without obtaining permission from Kuwait Oil Company (KOC).
A case was registered and the suspect was referred to the relevant authorities for prosecution.

Magician nabbed: Securitymen arrested an Asian expatriate for practicing black magic in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh area Tuesday.
Securitymen, on receiving a tip-off, raided the Asian’s flat and found tools and equipment needed for black magic operations. Sources say the Asian tried to flee, but securitymen foiled his plan and referred him to authorities.

Liquor seized: An Asian in his 40s was arrested for possessing alcohol in Hassawi area on Tuesday.
Sources say when securitymen received information that an Asian had liquor inside his vehicle, they stopped him and on searching the vehicle, found 14 liquor bottles.
He was referred to authorities.
