NBK hosts meet Turkey-Kuwait ties

KUWAIT CITY, March 8: National Bank of Kuwait (NBK), the leading bank in Kuwait and the highest rated in the Middle East, today hosted the first-of-its-kind meeting with a high level Turkish business delegation. The meeting was attended by senior NBK officials headed by GCEO Ibrahim S. Dabdoub and Deputy CEO Shaikha K. Al-Bahar, in addition to the Head of the visiting Turkish delegation and President-Investment Support & Promotion Agency (ISPAT) Alpaslan Korkomaz.
Speaking on the inauguration of the event, which was held at Sheraton Hotel-Kuwait, Shaikha Al-Bahar said that the initiative and decision for such a gathering was taken by both H.H the Amir, Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and HE the Turkish President Abdullah Gul during President Gul’s visit to Kuwait in December, 2009.
“NBK is greatly honored to be given the unique mandate and opportunity to host this symposium,the fact that highlight the historical role played by the bank in respect of promoting relationships and trade flows between Kuwait and other countries in the region” Al-Bahar added.
